This is Saint Milo's Church, located in between Estes Park and Longmont, Colorado on highway 7. I planed to photograph this church as the first light of day struck the mountains in the background, but when I arrived I found this sight so interesting I decided to photograph this as well. The church is lit by a single spotlight positioned in the center and slightly below the view seen here.

Saint Milo's Church, on highway 7 between Estes Park and Longmont in Colorado. This photo was taken just as the light of the new day lit the mountain with alpenglow at about 6:00 a.m. It was an incredible and spiritual experience to be there, alone in the dark and witness this act of nature. The colors shown here are exactly what actually appeared.

This is a Scaly Hydnum (Sarcodon Imbricatum). It is edible, but should be tried with caution because it has made some people ill. Some find that it has a bitter taste.

Sprague Lake reflects the fire of early dawn on a July morning.

In the wee hours of the morning, long before the sun begins to rise, Sprague Lake reflects the mighty peaks of the Continental Divide in the complete calm of its surface.
